About this listen
At home alone for the holidays, Agatha Raisin decides to host a dinner party for the elder residents in her Cotswold village of Winter Parva. Agatha's never been much of a homemaker, but she's dead set on making this the perfect holiday for the 'crumblies', as she affectionately calls them. She's decorated a tree while fending off her cats, Hodge and Boswell, and even made a (lumpy) Christmas pudding in between swigs of rum. But when Agatha dumps the pudding on the head of the local self-proclaimed lothario - an 85-year-old with a beer belly and fingers like sausages - his death by dessert proves more than a trifle as mysteries mount higher than the season's snowfall. So much for trying to do good by her neighbors. Now Agatha needs no less than a Christmas miracle to get herself out of this one.

A Perfect, Quick Festive Listen.
If you could sum up Agatha Raisin and the Christmas Crumble in three words, what would they be?
Fun Festive Froth
What about Penelope Keith’s performance did you like?
A good, plummy narration.
Any additional comments?
I bought this book because it was the deal of the day. It definitely isn't worth the £6.99 that it's currently priced at. But, that moan apart, it was a nice festive listen as I wrapped up the Christmas presents.

Short but Sweet
Agatha is spending Christmas alone so she tells Mrs Bloxley that she will invite 6 elderly people to Christmas lunch, now Agatha is no cook but after buying presents she decides to make a Christmas pudding to save a few pence. She and her trusty friend Roy Silver have mixed up this concoction and decide to put it in the shed. When it is time to bring on the pudding Roy goes to get it and it is covered in flies, Agatha being Agatha sprays the flies with fly spray, and when her quest gets a bit antsy one in particular she hits him on the head with her pudding, and he dies.
Will she get away with it, nice little listen and it was on the free list it was very short and as always Penelope Keith does the narration.

Amusing short
Penelope Keith IS Agatha Raisin. This is an amusing short story, a Christmas who done it. Penelope Keith's voices are superbly varied & fit the characters well. I certainly won't be following her Christmas pudding recipe.

Another great story - this is a short interlude
I am addicted to this series of books. So well written and presented. The stories are my ironing and cooking companions I can’t go without.
I always look forward to the next book.

Had me Laughing
This was very funny. It the sort of scene I could actually picture some people I know in the kitchen. Just picturing some of the scenes in your head, will have you laughing. Despite being short, (As I love these Agatha Raisin Series with Penelope Keith as the Narrator) I found this very entertaining and will have to listen to this one again, especially when I'm feeling a bit low.

Not the best Agatha Raisin story!
What did you like best about Agatha Raisin and the Christmas Crumble? What did you like least?
Good characters well described as usual. Brilliant narration by Penelope Keith as always. The storyline was a little weaker than other Agatha Raisin books I have read.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
Penelope Keith makes most books interesting by her gripping narration. The investigation was intriguing initially and was an average whodunnit- just not quite up to the standard of other Agatha Raisins. .
Have you listened to any of Penelope Keith’s other performances? How does this one compare?
Yes! Excellent narration and character portrayal. Faultless!
Could you see Agatha Raisin and the Christmas Crumble being made into a movie or a TV series? Who would the stars be?
A short play starring Penelope Keith and others from To the Manor Born maybe!
