Summary
On a beautiful island, under the Mediterranean sun, two families enjoy a well-deserved holiday. Then, one balmy evening, Emma's father is found unconscious on the sand. Everyone is hiding secrets. Who will you believe?
Emma: I went up to Daniel, sunning himself by the pool, to break the news. They’ve been best friends for years, but it was like he didn’t care that Dad was in hospital. Like it wasn’t a surprise. Like he knew.
Daniel: That girl’s deluded. No one knows where she was the night her dad ended up on the beach. And as for what she did to her own child...well, it’s her parents I feel sorry for. Imagine having a daughter like that and knowing what she did.
Emma: I’ve never trusted Daniel. And then I found the envelope, tucked away in Dad’s luggage. It explained so much. There’s a reason someone wanted to hurt him. I may have made mistakes, but I’ve never lied like Dad has.
Daniel: That girl knows more than she’s letting on.
Emma: Someone knows that I know, and they’ll do anything to keep me quiet. We’re trapped on the island, and I can’t trust any of them.
A unique and totally gripping psychological thriller.

Not sure about this one...
I prefer books that are not part of a series, but not this one so much. Format is quite unusual and its hard to follow. I think unless you want to find out a lot about this particular incident, I'm not really sure why you would buy it...

Very poor
I found the interruption of the author very annoying. There were also too many voices.

Unusual but brilliant
Absolutely gripped from start to finish, amazingly well performed. Would love to see or read more, and maybe one day discover what really happened

Gripping !!
I love Kerry Wilkinson’s books, especially his stand alone thrillers and this was no exception. Told in a very unusual
Style as a true crime mystery with interviews with the main protagonists . I could not stop listening . Won’t say more as don’t want to give too much away .

An excellent story told in an alternative format
I really enjoyed this book told from each character's perspective .. I can highly recommend this book. It is best described as a family whodunnit .. although the best way to find out what I mean is to read it yourself you will not be disappointed

I enjoyed
Using different actors and actresses for voices was clever . I’ll get the book to see maybe a different story . I enjoy Kerry Wilkinsons stand alone books . The narrative is well done .Alison Campbell .

Different and compelling
This was a very different approach to the books I’ve heard from Kerry and it completely drew me in. It was like an interactive whodunnit. I loved hearing the authors own voice in there too and his summary at the end leaves me questioning everything. I must go back and listen all over again.
