About this listen

This omnibus edition contains Survival (book 1) and Humanity (book 2) of the After It Happened series.

Survival, book 1:

Set in the UK in the immediate aftermath of a mysterious illness which swept the country and left millions dead, the series follows the trials facing a reluctant hero, Dan, and the group he forms around him. They must battle the elements, find sufficient supplies and equipment to survive, and protect themselves against the most destructive force on the planet: other people.

Banding together those he found along the way, he has to fight to keep them safe.

To keep them alive. To survive.

Humanity, book 2:

The survivors have established a home, but they still have to face the brutality of human nature.

Not only do they have to survive, they must keep their humanity.

Very Good Story and Very Enjoyable

Okay. First of all, it's narrated by RC Bray, So even if it was a shopping list it would sound spectacular, The story is good as is the character development. The story is realistic, not your usual, unlimited round magazines and indestructible hero's, running on broken legs.

The only thing that concerns me; is the length - 12hrs 38 mins for 2 books and a chapter or two of book 3 is worrisome. I would love to continue to purchase this series but that is reliant upon the author providing the hours of entertainment per buck. Too many authors now think 4 to 6 hours and only half a story is worth the cost of a full story. Hopefully, this author, will realise what most people want and will endeavour to provide value for money, rather than lose customers due to subjective overpricing.

Getting back to the books - The storyline is incredibly believable, the characters too seam realistic portrayals and the story moves at a quick pace without the usual dead spots, that whilst necessary, the listeners hate, as they wait for the next installment of the storyline. Can't wait to get Society when it's released. I'm sure this series will prove to be long-lived and eagerly awaited. I don't see the point of detailing the story as it would be pointless only know that it's definitely a Zompoc fans must have.

As a final point - Well worth the investment and you will not be disappointed with the story or the purchase.

RC Bray is my favourite he is awesome makes time fly by. His English accents were okay. The only mistake that made me laugh was the poohgeot car ....classic otherwise perfection.

Simply brilliant

This is as good as The Undead series by R R Haywood. Similar but without the zombies. So a little more real in that sense. That said, I love The Undead series and I think that if “After It Happened” carries on being as thrilling and entertaining as the first two books then it will be just as fantastic a series. Get this book. Need I say more.

I brought this as a side book to help me sleep.

So like I said. Brought this as a unknown random end of the world book. I'm shocked at how much I liked it. spoiler it's a nice relaxing book where people work together and get along with only a small ammount of badness.

Great story, well told (even with the dodgy accent)

Completely absorbing - couldn’t stop listening. Got a bit lost with names and accents but it didn’t detract from the story and still pretty much 5/5. Look forward to next two.
