Easy to follow and jump into again.

Was alot better than i thought i tv would be so with just 15 hours. It had a bit of everything. More straight forward in following one person and his friends. Without Political stuff, The days of a working adventurer and how he started out.

Pretty good, worth a listen

Loved the book, not as good as his System Apocalypse series, which you should go and read now. But I recommend this 100% the gift idea is cool and can't wait to hear more about others gifts. Some places it dose jump but it's not to much of a problem.

overall a good book and seems to get better with each one

Complete lack of direction

Compared to other books of this genre, this story has no direction or goal that the protagonist is moving towards. He was a miner and now he's an adventurer, that is all.

We learn next to nothing about his development during the mines or why he left other than 'because he wanted to' and kind of just cruises along dungeon diving with people fighting for him because he knows how to heal.

Some of the characters and world building are interesting, It just seemed to me that after the first 12 hours or so of listening that I didn't actually care. The lack of direction and motive was not there.

This is definitely one of the weaker works that Tao wong has made compared to his others. I'm still a fan, just not this.

surprisingly enjoyable

I was a little skeptical of this story before I started it, there was just something about the blurb that left me on the fench...
well if you have the same reservations I am here to reassure you.
the gift is rarely used as a driving plot device in the story. it's always there and we aren't allowed to forget out, but this is a full and complete story regardless of if this had been here. the characters are great, the world interesting and seems alive even when the MC is not looking at it...
and the story is a lot of fun. i really enjoyed my time in Brad and you should give it a chance too...

Eric Martin did a adequate job even if this is not a genre he is familiar with. He had a few things in the start of book 1 (like describing 3-7 of a weapon damage as 3 minus 7) but by book 2 their were gone and even the ones I noticed wasn't horrible or pull me out of it.

Very good It is unfortunate

It is very good it is a shame that the other books aren’t in a omnibus I’d still buy them separate if the audible app was so rubbish and had a play list or que function but they haven’t improved the app in the last 3 years so I have lost hope
