Summary

My name is George Sachs. I'm a clinical psychologist and expert in adult ADD. I also have adult ADD, so much of what I teach comes from my own personal experience. I have experimented with many methods on the market with much trial and error. Lots of errors! I was never satisfied with the books I read on adult ADD, as the advice was hard to follow and was clearly not created by someone with ADD. The tools, tips, and techniques I developed for this audiobook have been field tested by me and my clients.

This audiobook is just the beginning of a lifetime of learning about your unique symptoms. In 30 days, you will learn what critical areas of your life need more attention. Many of my clients have tried medication, hoping for a miracle to cure their worst symptoms. The truth is medication can be effective for some, but most of my clients stop taking it because of the side effects - and then where are they? No better off than when they first started. That is why I coach them that they need to learn tools and new techniques to better manage their lives with adult ADD. That is what this audiobook does - offering 30 days of holistic, actionable advice that can be implemented immediately. With no negative side effects!

I believe in a holistic approach that starts with sleep, diet, and exercise, and that includes emotional, relational, and spiritual practices to truly overcome adult ADD. This audiobook deals with more than just tips to become more organized. We examine the impact of a life of untreated adult ADD and how that affects self-esteem, relationships, and overall success. The key word is overall. That is our holistic approach, because adult ADD affects all areas of one's life.

Read some ADD online articles instead

Maybe good for someone just starting to learn about ADD/ADHD, but for the individual who already has a good basic understanding of adhd and its traits this information is quite basic and doesn't add anymore to your aresnal than a simple search on Google would.

step by step easy to follow tips and tricks

I am/was already self educated about ADHD and so the book is not mind blowing but the structure makes sense and some tips and referrals are always useful. it's short which I think fits the purpose. I recommend the book not just for people with ADHD/ADD but also for the people around them to gain a better understanding.

Excellent

Clearly written by someone who has lived with ADD and made a success of his life using these easy to understand practical techniques. Cleverly split into manageable sections he makes sense of what it is to have ADD, how it feels inside and how to deal with it emotionally and practically. I learnt so much about my daughter’s condition and how to manage it. Highly recommend this book!

Extremely useful as a guide

It was a fun to listent to it as it was very interactive and was like question answar theme. which keep the interest and attention intact. it was very detail and more like case study where you first know the problem and then the solution. i was searching for such a book and at last found one. simple an amazing book to listen to.

loved. pen and paper.

loved it! Gave me a better understanding of myself and more self compassion. I will have to her it a second time though, with a pen and. paper at reach, not while driving as I did.

Finally someone who talks knowing his audience

What I liked is that the tracks are short, straight to the point and the recap of the week.

well done!

This book is too dense with suggestions, does not work in audiobook format

If you need help with adhd, listening to a rapidfire list of various tips is sbout the worst thing imaginable.

The book has no intro, it races right out of the gate with a long list of tips, for things like sleep regulation.

You’d want to write that down, right?

There’s no outline of what it is, where its going or what it might expect of you.

So this may be a good book, and a good program, but two chapters in I’m still just felling overwhelmed and and a bit drained.

I feel like if this audio version of the book would work for you, you’re not dealing with the cognitive problems I’m dealing with.

The printed book could be good. But stay away from the recording
