Summary
Abigail Beadle has given two decades of her life to caring for her late father and looking after the centuries-old family home Ashgrove House. She has never married because Lucas Chadwick, the man she loved when she was young, left the village suddenly with his family. When her loathed stepmother dies, Abigail is glad to be released from the woman's nagging and bullying, but the will she left casts doubt on Abigail's inheritance. Feelgood
I enjoyed this book although it was a little predictable in places but I also enjoyed the surprising bits! It goes along nicely and then - wow- where did that spring from? Great reader. A feelgood book!

Gorgeous and uplifting

Another new author to me.
I’ve loved this novel. A great mixture some
History, growing love a miracle even and I have today I’d love to read a follow up. I’m quite sure the solicitors and Abigail would just be a lovely story for the village. And maybe to know how the house is being used for the good of the village

Anna Jacob's has surpassed herself yet again. This is again one if those special books that transports it's readers. Well Done keep it up. A must read.

Nothing special!
Easily forgettable. Not up to Anna Jacobs usual standard. I kept going just because it wasn’t awful. AND it WAS Emma Powel.
