Summary

Amber Tate is about to lose her job at a London publishing house. And it’s nearly Christmas. Her boss gives her one last chance. Sadly, it’s the impossible task of obtaining the rights to the popular Lund Collection of fairy tales. The rights to the fairy tales are held by the author’s granddaughter, Emilia Lund, who lives a reclusive life in Sweden and has steadfastly refused to talk to anyone about the rights for the last several years.

However, in order to convince her one and only friend that she can be sociable, Emilia agrees to invite Amber - under strict conditions - to the cozy setting of wintry Sweden. They both agree to this vital meeting for their own separate reasons. Except...things never pan out quite as planned, do they?

A True Christmas Story

When I heard from that A E Radley was releasing a Christmas story I had to get it. What made it even better was the narrator who brought the characters to life and she was very good with the accents.

I loved the way Hugo had encouraged Emilia to get in touch with Amber about the Lund Fairy Tales. Also the ups and downs of the main characters.

The way that the author shows you around this small village in Sweden and the country's christmas customs make you feel as though you are there.

This is a lovely story that shows that if you stick to your principals you can get what you want

Very drawn out

I am new to this author. The story was ok, very drawn out. While I’m not bothered by same sex love interests in real life, a little warning about it being the story line would have been nice. It’s not a genre I would necessarily listen to.
