Story

Great story. Distracting that it was written in present tense. Made it more difficult to follow.

great follow up and creating a believable universe

it's a shame she is only writing 3! I know the die hard Bind fans hate these books but I think the two are really great so far.

A thrilling second installment

It’s fair to say that Sherwood’s Double O series has found its rhythm. The first story did a tonne of world building and had a slightly more confused story but this second installment feels more concise and focused.
Big fan of both Rachel Wolf and Joanna Harwood and as an impatient listener can’t wait for the third installment to arrive!
Pippa’s narration and audio performance is on point although the audio drop-ins or pickups are quite noticeable and distracting at times which has nothing to do with the voice artists reading.

Having multiple story threads is, imagine a tough balancing act from the author but where it means descriptions for places and items are sometimes brief it lends itself to the sweeping narrative pacing of the story.
It also means there’s some biggish jumps in time which I feel doesn’t add any additional tension.

For those detractors of the first story A Spy Like Me is an incredible journey and one well worth reading.

Smashing Second Installment

The second installment in Kim Sherwood's "the other double-o's" series is a brilliant follow up from the debut story. Great story, really well written, great characters, and absolutely smashing narration and accents by Pippa Bennett-Warner. Bring on book 3!
