Powerful Tool to Start Communication with Kid
As I listened to this audiobook, a couple of friends who had children with delayed speech came to mind. This should be very useful for them to kickstart early communication and empower them to assist their child instead of being on a long waiting list for a therapist. This audiobook contains three decades of expertise from a speech therapist. The self-video and self-practice strategies empower a parent to connect, get out of his/her head, communicate and have fun with the child. This is an excellent resource.

Great book!
I don't have children, but I listened to this book to try and learn how I can help my niece learn when I babysit her. The strategies presented here are clear and easy-to-follow, and I have already gotten a noticeable change in my niece's responses when we play! Her responsiveness is definitely higher with the changes I've made after listening to this book. I love how the author breaks down the strategies, explaining not just how, but why and when to use them. The kid-centered approach is simple and fun, and I particularly appreciated the chapter on quick, repeatable games. It’s well-structured, making it easy to learn. If you're looking to improve a child's communication skills, give this book a try. I also thought the narration was pleasant and easy to listen to. Highly recommend.

How to connect with your child
If your child finds communication or language challenging, don't hesitate to get this book! The author has done a superb job in explaining how to grow your connection with your child NOW. I found the child-centred approach to interaction simple and fun. The 7 tried and tested strategies are not hard. The author clearly explains how to do them, why to do them, and when to do them. The video challenges are invaluable as they help put the 7 strategies into practice, allow us to reflect, and alert us to how our child naturally communicates, so we make good progress. I particularly liked the chapter on 10-20 second short repeatable games. Most of all I appreciated how well structured this book is, as it makes learning and retaining the information so much easier, ultimately empowering and giving you confidence. It is beautifully read by the author. I highly recommend it to any parent, guardian or caregiver of a young child, who seeks to understand early communication.
