Risking imprisonment and possible death for her leadership role in the student democracy movement, she was on the run in China for 10 months while being hunted by the authorities. Inspirational story of pain, struggle and forgiveness. I also wondered why chai ling allowed the same thing (read book to understand) to her, but by the end of the book I understood.
