Summary
When all hope is lost, can music be the ultimate lifeline?
Isabel ‘Izzy’ Adler used to dominate the world’s stages with her vocal acrobatics. But since she lost her voice 10 years ago, Izzy’s been to hell - and hasn’t found her way back.
When journalist Leila Zadeh is brought in to finish her biography, Izzy’s dark plans for her life are challenged by the brilliant and gorgeous new woman in her life.
Will the instant attraction between them be enough to stop Izzy from playing out her final song?
Best-selling lesbian romance author Harper Bliss brings you a hopeful story about what it takes to choose life again - and the incredible power of artistic expression.

Thank you
This book was hard to listen to in places but it’s so full of hope. The narration is perfect as always when Abby Craden reads. Thank you for another great book Harper x

A story about creativity, loss and love
This is a novel about characters who happen to be lesbians. So, not your usual lesfic formulaic book. It deals with someone who loses her creative expression, and desire to live.
It caused me to reflect on the search for meaning in my own life.
I’ve read a lot of lesbian fiction, and can enjoy the majority ‘will they won’t they’ stories. It was just refreshing to read something deeper.
It also has an engaging love story .
So, if you’re looking for a bit more from your lesbian fiction, try this.

Pulling at the heart
Harper yet again you raised a subject in 2 of the books I have listened to from you... It really pulls my heart strings tighter than I imagined..
I find myself determined to keep listening, hoping, encouraging, willing her to find purpose, to find new life...
When she did, I felt a calm come over me...
Deep, thought provoking writing from you yet again..
loved the love!
Abby... I keep saying variations of the same thing... but you truly are my no 1 narrator... you feel... you live... you bring to life... x

beautiful
This book is beautiful. The plot is heartbreaking yet it makes my heart sing too. Abbey's voice is once again perfect for Harper's words.

A truly special book.
Which could only have been written by someone who has known the deep heartfelt feelings expressed by her character. Congratulations to Harper Bliss for this wonderful book, written with such honesty, soul and beauty. Thanks too for opening up afterwards and sharing her own personal feelings as to what the story had meant to her.
Abby Craden’s touching narration enhanced this deeply moving story.

favourite
I've listened to audio books and read Harper's book and I've enjoyed so many of them but I think this one is my favourite.
and I think it's because I struggled with my own mental health and who I am, so this was a good listen (I got it on audible) for me and it's well wrote and well read by Abbie.
I will continue my journey threw your collections

Can’t recommend enough
I can’t rate this book highly enough! The best of Harper’s writing thus far. Emotional, deep, beautiful and searching. It’s not a sad book, rather a book of hope and new beginnings. And on a lighter note… Leila is my favourite character of all of Harper’s books! Delighted that she pops up again in many others! If you haven’t read this, do it, you won’t be disappointed!

A must read/listen
This is by far the best Harper Bliss novel. It has everything you could want in a great book. Great writing, romance and deep issues. Interesting characters and a memorable ending. I just loved it so much.

One of the best
Knowing this book had suicide as a large part of the story it took until now to actually purchase it. it wasn't until listening to The Duet that I felt I had to listen or it would annoy me that I didn't know the characters. Needless to say, I shouldn't have waited this long. Can't fault the book, so many emotions, written perfectly from all perspectives, and the authors note at the end was great to listen to.
