Summary
故郷を求めて流浪の旅を続ける若者、イラノン。彼は、自らを王子と称し、故郷や夢に思いを馳せ歌に乗せる。しかし、旅の道々で出会う人々は彼の歌を笑い、背を向ける。美しく優しい光りに満ちた故郷を目指すイラノンは、その途中で道連れと出会い、長い年月の流浪の果てにとある都へと辿り着くことになる。その都は歌と踊りで賑わい、人々はイラノンの歌を聴き、そして彼にバラの花を投げ、拍手を贈るが… いわゆるラブクラフトのSF・ホラー作品とは一味違う雰囲気を帯びつつも、やはりその根底にはしっかりとラブクラフトの世界を感じられる「夢の国」のファンタジー掌編。 脳裏に浮かぶその鮮やかな世界感は、聴く者をイラノンと共に流浪の旅へと導くであろう。
