This is a historical novel based on the life of Velu Nachiyar, the mighty queen of Shivgangai in Tamil Nadu. She was married to the king of Shivgangai; king' Muthu Vaduganaatha Thevar'.The king was assassinated by British Army and Nawab of Arkot. The queen had to flee. But, for 8 years, she reorganised her army and attacked the British and Nawab's Army at Shivgangai and recaptured the fort ol Shivgangai. For her bravery, people started Addressing her as'VeerMagai', which means 'The brave woman'.
