About this listen
Willow is running from an abusive relationship. On the road to freedom, she finds herself drawn to the small town of Stratham, where thing’s aren’t as they seem. She never expects to fall for a man again, especially not one who’s a dragon.
Haunted by his past, Zarin has waited his whole life to find the woman who would complete him. Not only does he meet his mate, but they must save a half-human boy running from a dangerous tribe of Nymphs.
Can Willow and Zarin work through their differences and accept one another before it’s too late?
Content warning: Explicit love scenes and piles of sexy shifters. Intended for mature audiences only.

Rapidly developing dragon shifter romance series!
This dragon shifter series seems to follow a particular pattern. So far all three books feature a growing tribe of vulnerable half breed dragons while each book focuses on one member finding his mate. The mates are human and seem to be more vulnerable than the dragons. But don't mistake them for weak because each ends up sharing her respective mate's burdens. Each book so far is complete by itself but there are always hints of something larger on the horizon. As such each story is like a piece of a jigsaw puzzle that together will lead to the larger picture. It is worth noting that each subsequent story has the characters from the previous books and is almost like a continuation of the tribe's story.
That said, Zarin's story has all the magic expected from this series. Zarin experiences his instant awareness and attraction for Willow who arrives into town escaping from an abusive relationship. She is attracted to Zarin but also extremely cautious of men. Zarin may have been willing to give her time to adjust but the arrival of a 10 year old boy in need of family and protection speeds up the process. Suddenly the need to find their connection as a couple to face the problems coming at them from different directions becomes paramount.
My only disappointment was that the tribe didn't face-off with Willow's ex. I felt this issue was left a little unresolved but then the story isn't very long and Willow and Zarin's choices definitely reflect the priorities of new parents and family.
