About this listen
Teagan:
I wanted to go home.
Moving to America wouldn't have been so bad if it weren't for the family next door, but because of my so-called guardian - and I used that term lightly - we were the latest family to take up residency in Thirteenth Street, and I was the sole target of the bitch over the fence.
But, for me, life was a lot to get a lot worse.
Noah Messina, Ellie's step-brother, had decided to join her torment-the-new-girl-until-she-cracks mission.
There had been a fight in their driveway last weekend between Noah and some other tattooed douchebag that had progressed into our yard, resulting in the windshield of my car being smashed when Noah pummeled his opponent through it. Thinking back now I had to admit that I sort of overreacted when I stalked outside in nothing but a Coldplay T-shirt and a black thong and tossed an entire can of white gloss paint over the hood of Noah's black Lexus in retaliation. I guess it had felt damn good to fight back instead of letting them walk all over me....
Destroying Noah's car with paint was like waving a red rag in front of a bull. He lost it.
Right there in my driveway, with his T-shirt ripped from his body and blood dripping from his eyebrow, Noah Messina had thrown the biggest man-tantrum I'd ever seen before declaring war on me....
Noah:
I was going to lose my shit over the girl-next-door.
God, three months of having her live next door to me and I still felt like slamming my head into the garden wall - now worse than ever since she had challenged me.
The defiance in her eyes as she stared at me down before bending over the hood of my baby and emptying the can of paint was something that struck a chord inside of me. I'd never been so angry or turned on in my life.
Pure rage had flooded my veins, driven on even further when Teagan taunted me with her potty mouth and yeah, I'd kind of lost it with her. Problem was I had an even uglier temper, and Friday night Teagan Connolly ignited it like no one had before.
When she slapped me and pressed her tight little body against mine, taunting me with that sharp tongue of hers, I'd never been so close to putting my hands on a woman in my life.
Except instead of hurting her, I wanted to toss her sexy little ass on the hood of my car and take her right there, not caring who saw us. The urge to be inside her was like nothing I'd ever felt in my life....
Contains mature themes.

Story was fine, but narration was atrocious
Listened after the Tommen series and was really disappointed, I like the complexity of the characters and that Teagan isn’t a perfect FMC, but the narration was a killer. A posh English accent had no place in this book, and even though the Irish accent was poor it was more bearable than the general narrator who was a really poor choice for this novel. I imagine this would be a better read than listen, but don’t get your hopes up too high. Some inconsistencies in the story telling didn’t help

Hate Teagan's "voice" .
Ermmmm..this is a tough one. I absolutely love these books & I'm a huge fan of Chloe Walsh, but the female narrator is so overly clipped & proper she reminds me of Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins...and her Irish accent is feckin dreadful.

4 stars
I would give a five star for the story but honestly the female narrator was crap. Next time you need an Irish accent you should use Mia ahern.

The story is good but the female narrator makes it unbearable to listen to
I wish the chapters read by the female narrator were recorded again! The guy is great but the woman is making this weird posh accent when reading and when there are dialogues she makes the main female character shriek and whiny and just so annoying. Also why does Tegan’s speaking voice sound completely different from her internal monologue?? This whole series needs recorded again, I wanted to listen to the rest of the books but I can’t stand the way she narrates. Just awful, it’s a shame ruining a good book like this.

Love the story.. no too keen on the narrators
I love this story and enjoyed the book when I read it. However, when listening to the audio book, I really didn’t enjoy Teagan’s chapters because the voice actor did not fit with the character. As the character is Irish, would it not have been better for an Irish person to voice her, rather than an English person that was not able to do a convincing Irish or American accent?
I still love this story and I guess if you aren’t Irish you wouldn’t notice. It just feels like it wasn’t particularly well thought out.

wth?
Maybe it's a good story. I will never know 'coz I can't stand to listen to that woman/narrator. She should do something else, just NOT reading. She ruined the book for me.

Great book, awful narration!
I love these books and I love this author, this is the first time I have listened to it on audible and it was a struggle! The female narrator…where do I start! What’s with the over the top British accent??! I also don’t understand why if Tegan is Irish then why the narrator flits back and forth between Irish and English, she also sounds too mature to be a high school student. And I really wish the male narrator had done all the male voices as the female narrator made every guy sound like a creepy old man! If I hadn’t already read and loved this book, then I don’t think I would have stuck with this purely because of the narration.

Tegan's narration
I've read this book on Kindle before and enjoyed it, unfortunately the audiobook narration was terrible. She is Irish but the internal monologue was read by what can only be described as Mary Poppins. The incredibly well to do English voice was extremely off putting, add to that Tegan's spoken accent that is either a fully fledged Northern Irish accent or a thick country accent that makes this so uncomfortable to listen to.
For Americans here, to me (Irish) it's like listening to someone who's supposed to be from New York who swings between that accent and one from Texas! They are polar opposites.
To be honest, I couldn't enjoy it at all and should have saved my money.
