Summary

The Man Made of Stone
Albion Guthrie has a reputation for being unapproachable. He’s emotionless. The only thing he “loves” is his job. When Albion’s boss asks him to keep Wade Lee Sawyer in check at the office after an attempted white-collar mutiny, Albion has no choice. Wade signs a contract stating he will work for Albion and follow his directives, and if Albion can manipulate anything in his favor, it’s paperwork.

The Traitor Who Craves Love
Wade Lee Sawyer only ever wanted to be loved. Was that really so wrong? He was hungry for any positive attention, which led him to make the worst mistake of his life. He trusted the wrong man and accidentally got caught up in a plan to destroy the company he loves. Now he’s paying the price. Following Albion’s orders at the office is easy for him, and he begins to enjoy it more than he ever thought he would.

Always Read the Fine Print
Every choice has consequences. Spending so much time with Wade has Albion acting in ways he shouldn’t. Falling in love isn’t mentioned anywhere in the contract they signed, and Albion makes it his mission to never let that happen. Wade wants something meaningful, and he knows Albion could never fall for him after the way he acted.

Or can he?

This story takes place in the beautiful city of St. Loren, Louisiana, which is part of the New Gothenburg world.

Want to shake these guys

I love how these authors can write in so many ways. The characters are always a surprise to me. This is a good example of that.
Albion has a hate for Wade. Wade has been a traitor to the employer and company that Albion loves. Instead of Wade being fired he is assigned to report to Albion. Albion takes pleasure in humiliating Wade. He has him doing jobs that are geared to making Wade quit. Wade is in a position where he can’t quit. Wade is also guilty of being an extreme submissive personality. He doesn’t even stand up for himself nor explain the truth of what really happened.
I really didn’t like either character and that is why I enjoyed the book. The story isn’t the run of the mill relationship. Its characters hopefully don’t represent true life BDSM relationships. It did make me want to yell at both of these guys. A story that can make me want to turn the pages and be anxious about where the story is going makes me feel it is more than worth my time and money.
Keval Shah did a good job at giving emotion and life to these characters.

Lots of goodies in this one

Albion and Wade’s story is full of opposites. Love/hate, praise/degradation, sweetness/@hole ways …. You get the whole palette of feelings with a very intense and interesting dynamic. I loved the cameo of Fenwick and Maurice from Cuddle bear - which was also fantastic book.

Boss Dom for the Win

A Boss/Employee romance has always been a favourite but when it turns into a Dom/sub relationship wow the heat factor ratchets up and a good time was had by all!!
Wade was the employee that everyone despised and wanted out of the company. Albion was the supervisor that was begrudgingly assigned to watch over him. Bossy acts that were meant to push Wade to leave turned very hot and steamy very quickly.
Was so immersive and captivating I managed to read in a day (forgetting all adulting type responsibilities)

Vulnerability and power

This book is a compelling narrative that explores the complexities of power dynamics and emotional vulnerability. Set against the backdrop of corporate intrigue, the story follows Albion Guthrie, a man known for his stoic and unapproachable demeanour, who is tasked with managing the rebellious Wade Lee Sawyer. As the plot unfolds, readers are taken on a journey through the intricacies of their contract, which binds them in an intricate dance of authority and submission. The book delves into themes of trust, the desire for connection, and the unforeseen consequences of every choice.
