Summary
She's running from her past. I'm the man hired to track her down. And I intend on keeping her.
After serving my country in the Marines, I returned to Missoula determined to live a solitary life. Labeled antisocial, my job as a high mountain tracker suited my needs. When I was tasked to locate another lost hiker, a snowstorm derailed my plans of getting in and out without incident.
Holed up in my cabin, it became clear Lily Sunburn was all fire and brimstone, her reckless behavior almost getting her killed. However, there's no denying our formidable chemistry. Soon she'll be crying out my name as I blister her beautiful bottom. Only then will I take her in the most shameful ways.
After bringing her to safety, her past catches up with her, someone determined to take her away. Soon they'll learn a valuable lesson.
I protect what's mine. No matter the cost.
Publisher's Note: Maverick is the third book in the Missoula Bad Boys series but can be listened to as a stand alone. It includes spankings and rough, intense sexual scenes. If such material offends you, please don't buy this book.

Enjoyable romantic suspense
A nice mixture of romance and suspense with plenty of spice sprinkled in. It is a part of a series, but each book is a standalone so there is no need to read the others first. I haven't read the previous ones, but it didn't affect my enjoyment of this one.
My only comment that lowered the rating is that I wish this was dual narration. The story is told in dual POV but same narrator does both viewpoints and while the narrator is very good, it would have been better if there was a female narrator for the female POV.

Worth a Read
This book definitely needed a female to voice the FMC, whilst Skylar does an incredible job, especially of the male voice, it's just a little off-putting with some of the scenes, and I really don't think there's a need to include dog barks. However, I will definitely listen to his narrations again.
The overall story was well written, the characters were pretty average, not too much depth, but not really necessary for this type of story. The raunchy scenes were pretty hot, but would have been loads better with a male & a female narrator.

Great storyline
This is a gripping storyline. With a damsel on the run and a moody bad boy to help it’s one hell of a ride. There’s lots of twists and turns to keep you hooked. A great performance.
