Wow it’s a whirl wind of emotions
Listening to this in a work setting probably wasn’t the best but it certainly got me clenching when the unexpected happened,
I can’t wait for the next book and the narration is perfect

This is a great start to this a saga , It has unique characters with steamy chemistry. It also has good, evil, prejudice, hate, war, peace, love, lies, truths, deceit, faith. The whole lot and a great plot

Dark vs Light.
Cahya a warrior is captured when she and her crew are ordered to kill the dark king who they have been waring with for some time. It quickly becomes apparent that the dark king is strongly connected to her and within a very short space of time she finds out why.
The war between the light and dark kings was interesting in that it was great world building, however for a story that is based on a war not a whole lot happens. The perspective of the dark king and Cahya constantly goes back an forth. Both constantly questioning why they do, feel, think etc things, it becomes too much after awhile.
This is a love story of sorts, but the book it's predominantly about bondage, master/submissive, sadistic/masochistic kink. The kink pain/pleasure aspect takes up most of the book and unfortunately I'm not interested in that. If I had known the story was about these kinks I wouldn't have chosen this book. There was nothing in the description which implies this. However the basic concept of the waring kings and reincarnation was interesting. The narration was just ok.
I was given this book for free of my own choosing and I voluntarily left this review.
