Summary
“I can't let you face this alone.”
“I don't know. I'm just lonely.”
Summer barbecues and his brothers' renovations keep blacksmith Jackson Riley happy, but he's missing one thing: a relationship. Sweet, sexy Chase helps him with his dating profile and catches Jackson's eye instead. When they trade skills and time, the embers are stirred into a flame of passion. Jackson wants a family tattoo - something Chase's skilled hands can deliver. But Jackson worries when Chase asks him to forge a sword. What could he need protection from?
“I don't have a family.”
Tattoo artist Chase MacLeod can't stop running from his past. When he thinks he's escaped, a letter arrives that throws everything off balance. The fencing lessons he's taking bolster his confidence, and his new flame Jackson steps in and defends him. Then, Jackson makes an offer to open his home and heart to him. Chase must find the courage to face his past.
“Just tell me if they're gone for good.”
Chase wants to stick around and redefine the meaning of family, but the enemy fights dirty. Will Jackson's protection be enough to help Chase stand up for himself? Or will Chase's scars forever close his heart? Despite their best efforts, Chase's worst enemy might just be himself.
Clang is a steamy, stand-alone gay romance novel with a HEA ending and no cliffhanger.

Building a Great Series, M. Dean is ⭐
Another enjoyable episode in E. Davies Riley Brothers series, Clang has a bit more drama to it. Chase is running from an ultra religious family who are actively trying to bring him home. Chase's story definitely needs a happy ending, and I hope we see more of him as this series progresses.
Audio by Michael Dean who does a lovely job with the characters in this book.

Good storyline
I enjoyed this story better than the first, however, there was still something just not right to me about how the story was told with multiple POV's. I love and prefer dual, but when you add in another that isn't a main character towards the end of the book, it gets confusing.

Chase and Jackson
I love the dynamics of these 2 and the wonderful gifts at the end was so exciting. E.Davies is brilliant, and Michael blew it out of the ball park

I read this book a year ago, but just listened in
Love this series and this book is just as good as the others. Each book can be read independently but it's also good to read in order as the brothers are always mentioned.
I love how the 2 main characters have such different jobs, there's such a good family background to the Riley Brothers which is maintain throughout the books.
Chase however has a problematic family which written by Ed really well.
It's a really hot book. The whole Riley brothers series are hot. Great narration from Michael Dean, love the 2 points of view.

Great series continues
Chase and Jackson make such a wonderful couple in this book. They start as friends and then bond over a tattoo and a sword. Then, the past comes calling and they have to find the strength to beat it and hang on to their relationship. As someone who has fenced in the past, I loved the addition of that to this story. Michael Dean does a wonderful job of bringing all the characters to life, giving them distinct voices and brining out the appropriate emotional shadings in every scene. A superb entry in a great series.

I love the Riley brothers
I'm living these brothers and their stories! I love the writing style and interconnected stories and POVs. These books are about a family and that shines through over each book. we get to visit with Cam and Noah and get to know more about Thomas with his guest POVs in this story.
I loved Jackson in Cam's story and I loved him even more now. He's the protective big brother with a big heart, ready to help. I loved how he help Chase in more ways than simple shelter. these two are a couple that make each other better and I loved their journey ❣️❣️❣️

Super sweet romance
As with any E. Davies story, here you get a super sweet romance full of loving family, a great community, and some truly steamy scenes. However, here we also got a little darker side, as Chase did not have a good family and it had affected his entire life and how he viewed relationships. I loved watching him grow and realize he is deserving of love and thought Jackson was the perfect choice for him. Michael Dean is a trusted narrator and as always his narration definitely delivered!

An enjoyable romance
I enjoyed Jackson and Chase's romance, but this wasn't my favorite story overall. I'm not sure what the intent of the prologues in this series are, but this is now the second time I've been confused about when those events are taking place. That aside, I did find it fun to catch up with the Riley brothers and see another one of them meet their match. Chase wasn't the man I expected Jackson to fall for, but their chemistry was incredible and they always seemed to enjoy each other's company. Despite Chase's difficult family situation, I found it hard to connect with him as this story progressed. He kept so many of his feelings hidden that it was sometimes difficult for me to tell what his intentions were. Also, he hooked up with another guy while he and Jackson were dating, and despite how honest he was about it I was still uncomfortable. Even with my reservations about Chase, their romance was undeniably sweet. There wasn't a ton of plot going on in the background, but I did like that Chase finally got some closure with his family. Michael Dean did a pretty decent job narrating, though I'll admit that I sometimes can't tell the characters apart when he narrates.
**I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this book. This review expresses my honest thoughts and opinions.

beautiful!
Chase's story broke my heart but it was also beautiful to see him grow as a person and slowly heal and become stronger and face his fears. Jackson was adorkable and wonderful. I really loved reading their love story and their happy ending melted my heart. It was also nice to catch up with Cameron and getting to know Thomas better. He's very interesting I can't wait for his story. Great book, I enjoyed it very much and the narrator brought it to life beautifully!
