The human epidermis deterioration virus (HEDV) has obliterated the population. Billions have died worldwide. September 25, 2012. Ted Neill picked up a knife to cut his wrists open and kill himself. Post hospitalization and treatment for major depressive disorder, he wrote Two Years of Wonder, a memoir based on his journey toward recovery. In it, he examines the experience that left him with such despair: living and working for two years at an orphanage for children with HIV/AIDS in Nairobi, Kenya.

Scot joins new allies and they converge on the integrated community of Rainmere, just as Kimberly and her new posse, the Oshun Sisters do. Unfortunately, so does Right Nation.

While Scot is taken to the heart of the Right Nation camp before he is released and hunted for sport, Kimberly is trafficked to a ruined plantation called the The Tombs.

Haunted, scarred, and alone, Scot comes across a blinded and wounded Storm Mount soldier named Paul. Scot decides to lead Paul into the heart of the black resistance.
