About this listen

Things that stress out this widowed single mom: high fructose corn syrup, intrusive thoughts about my son getting swept up by a tornado, and the sexiest hockey player to grace this planet.

Oh, and the fact that I’m also said hockey player’s physical therapist. But we’ll lock that tidbit away in the same nightstand as my battery-operated toys.

Moving my son and me across the country to live with my three best friends and our seven children into one dilapidated Boston brownstone should have been the biggest risk I’ve ever taken–not figuring out how to protect my heart, career, and panties while trying to navigate my secret double life.

But Rowan ‘Slick’ Parker is nothing if not hell-bent on taking slapshots at my comfort zone. The more I try to keep things professional, the more he works to break the rules with his charming grin, piercing gaze, and world-class rear end.

Not to mention, he adores my son.

So, I finally give in.

Don’t worry, though, it’s all temporary–a way for us to get each other out of our systems.

But little do I know, ‘temporary’ has a way of leaving lasting impressions on the heart.

UTTERLY FABULOUS ONE OF THE BEST AUDIOBOOK THIS YEAR

oh my good god didn't think you could get better than the first momcon but oh my this has certainly come so so so close, absolutely hilarious where I've laughed stupidly outloud, only someone very much into audiobooks know what I mean when I say this...hysterical even my dog has looked up at me wondering whats going on 😆 swoon worthy romantic and damn HOT 🔥 narration made it all come to life and of course you'd expect no better with the dulcet tones of Teddy Hamilton (always hot) Spooned with Samantha Brentwood and boom the magic happens these narrators need so much recognition they take a page of writing and bring all the emotions to life. Take a bow please you truly are wonderful. what a story I cannot wait for book 4 where Delia or dare I say madusa and her shining twins feel Love xx

More than just romance

This is Shay's story; she is a widowed single mom in a complex relationship with Rowan 'Slick' Parker, her alluring patient and a hockey sensation. This audiobook shines thanks to the stellar performances of Samantha Brentmoor and Teddy Hamilton. Their ability to capture the essence of each character, from the flirtatious banter to the emotional struggles, elevates the story. The duo's narration brings the characters to life and enhances the listener's connection to the story, making it a genuinely immersive experience. This tale is more than a romance; it's about confronting fears, embracing change, and the unexpected paths to love, all brought vividly to life by Brentmoor and Hamilton's compelling narration.

Sweet and spicy

I’ve loved all the books in this series so far and this was is just as good! Shayla is a complex character and it was going to take a special person to calm her fears and make her learn to love and live life to the fullest! Rowan is perfect as her match. Loved their banter and chemistry.

The audio version by Teddy Hamilton and Samantha Brentmoor was chefs kiss! It brought the story to life and made doing my chores extra fun!

A Mother Ducking Delight~Fabulous Story & Listen🎧

It is great to be back in the fabulously delightful “Momcoms” world again for another charming romantic comedy, one that will definitely put a smile on your face and warm your heart. The “Momcoms” is a multi-author series featuring single moms who live together and raise their children together so they could help each other out. Each book features one of the mom as the lead character, but they all appear in each other’s book, so to get the most out of the world building I recommend you enjoy them in order written, besides each book is just as amazing as the other and it is definitely one of the best multi-author series out there. This third book is Shayla “Shay” Kumar and Rowan “Slick” Parker’s story. Shay lost her husband to cancer, so it was only her and her son, Kai, and she is over protective on him, watches what he eats and limits his activity, not allowing him to do anything that could pose a risk. He was a good sport about it too, never giving her grief over her over the top behavior or the health foods she keeps making for him, and the rest of the house, who are not as agreeable in drinking or eating it. As a single woman, Shay is big on her vibes, and has a different name for each, all stars in their own right, and there has been a hilarious scene or two because of them. Kai is a big fan of hockey and the Beckett family owns a hockey team, so they all go to watch a game, except for Shay, who goes to watch the men. And when one of the teams’s star players gets injured, Beckett asks her to go check him out. Shay checked on Rowan, who pulled a groin muscle and their first encounter was certainly a memorable one, so much so Rowan wanted her to be his physical therapist. I adored Rowan, he was great with and for Shay, and Kai, too. I loved how everything played out in this book, it was my first Swati M.H. book and I enjoyed her writing style and how well she balanced the drama, humor, the emotional moments and the steamy romance for the making of a perfect romantic comedy. And I also love how each author puts their own spin on their characters, yet stays consistent with the series and the overall arc. The world building and character development is superbly done! Thank you for this amazing story, the laughs and the emotional rollercoaster ride. I will never see a humidifier or aromatherapy the same again.

🎧📚🎧 Samantha Brentmoor and Teddy Hamilton’s performances knocked this book out of the park, or rather, the hockey rink. They did an amazing job portraying these characters, giving each their own voice, making it easy to follow along and tell who was who. I loved how they took each role and owned it, sounding believable and just as I imagined the characters to sound. Brentmoor nailed it as Shay, quirky demeanor and all, Hamilton was just as amazing as Rowan, both grasping all sides of their character’s personality. Their performances of all the side and support characters were fantastic too. They set the right tone for the story, handle the witty and back-and-forth dialogue naturally and with ease, and landed the humor effortlessly. You could hear how much heart they put into their performance as they capture all the characters’ emotions and have you feeling them all. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

Love, Love, Love this!

I am loving this series. Living with these four women as they find their happiness is so much fun. This is the third of the best friends to find their man and in the most unusual of circumstances. Shayla has been living life cautiously. After the death of her husband, she has sheltered her son, Kai and found comfort in everything she has control over. Rowan is a hockey player, determined to take his team to the Stanley Cup. A groin injury has him down, and luckily, Bennett pulls Shayla in to help diagnose and give him PT to get him back on the ice as fast as possible. Instant chemistry, and Rowan is smitten. But will he be able to break through all the barriers Shayla has up? I loved getting to know Shayla better! She is one the stringent one, always making the healthy food, and keeping things as safe as possible. Her hesitancy is understandable, but is it a way to live? And Rowan! As determined as he is to win on the ice, he is determined to melt Shayla's heart. Plus he is like Cortney and Bennett, is so good with the kids! I laughed and loved right along with this mismatched family. It's a fabulous listen and I can't wait for Delia's story!

Samantha Brentmoor and Teddy Hamilton bring it all to life. Brentmoor is fantastic as Shalya. A bit neurotic, a lot overprotective and a woman filled with passion, each emotion in her voice is perfectly Shayla. Hamilton uses his warm, conversational feel as Rowan to woo Shayla. He finds his essence, from his past and uses it in his present to give him the personality that suits him. It's a fantastic listen and I highly recommend it.

Love, love, love the MomComs series! Each book is laugh out loud funny, spicy and with a HEA all rolled into one.
I love how the four books are by four different authors, but following a common. theme, and are being released a week apart.
So excited for the fourth installment next week!! I can already imagine relistening to them all back to back in the future! 😄❤️

Very similar to the first 2 books

I don't mind the characters but it's not much of a story. This is Book 3 of 4 and to be honest the theme and story is very similar to the first 2 books. I found Shay's overbearing nature over the top, the author really laid it on thick, it didn't do anything to improve the narrative it was just an annoying trait. There's not much to say these are cheesy, easy listening romances with little substance, because all 3 books have had a similar narrative the 'easy listening' aspect is wearing thin.

Nope.

After reading books 1&2 I had a feeling I wasn't going to like Shayla's character or book as much as I had the previous two and unfortunately I was right.

Firstly I don't think the plot point used made much sense, making Shayla Rowans PT wasn't necessary and felt kind of a lazy way to bring them together, I would have enjoyed this more had Rowan just straight out pursued her after meeting her.
Secondly I knew Shay was going to be overbearing as we had glimpses of that in the previous two books, and as much as I understand that she is the way she is now because of her late husbands illness and death and the lack of control she felt in that situation... she is actively doing NOTHING to rectify the behaviours she KNOWS are oppressive and toxic to not only herself, her friends but especially her son Kai.
It is SO unhealthy for Kai, the kid is going to potentially end up with anxiety and eating disorders at the very least if she isn't careful. It is clear this woman NEEDS therapy which she doesn't seek out and her friends enable her behaviour, they don't really call her on it and it's preachy and hypocritical of her and she knows it but continues anyway.
As for Rowan overall he was a sweet cinnamon roll type of MC but there wasn't anything that really stood out about his character for me, the VERY basic attempt at some sort of D/s type of dynamic between these two without any sort of prior boundary/limits conversation happening was cringey AF and made the spice awkward and clumsy to me. There wasn't much of an appearance from the cast of side characters in this one which I think did the book a disservice as that found family feeling wasn't as prevalent as in the first two books. I think it's safe to say that this is likely to be my least favourite of this series but with one book left to go I guess we will see. The performance by both narrators was great, it was the material itself that let this down. 🌶
