I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and rather a plump baby. Two weeks overdue my mother informed me.At a young age took up Ballroom dancing(FJT School) under the teachers Priscilla Myburg and Harry Jobb in a township of Eldorado Park. They rescued close to 1000 children like me, from the streets of crime and drug abuse. Gave us self confidence and belief that we can achieve any thing with hard work and dedication. At 18 years old i performed in theater productions and television shows moving into extravaganza shows in Sun City. Moved to London to chase a career and did a summer season in Blackpool Pleasure Beach and performed in the Lord Mayor's show. Miami was next with a job on a cruise liner that thankfully never sank. Completed a Bachelors of Arts at the age of 33 and graduated with honors. Writing my book "How Danced Saved My Life Against Adversity, was a labor of love. It took years to complete. My education was turbulent under the Apartheid regime and a dysfunctional home but its no excuse to better oneself and reading can fill any void. Crime thrillers by Lee Child, A Place Called Winter, Gypsy Boy, Caroline Carver, and bios by Judy Dench, Paul O'Grday and many more eclectic books give me endless pleasure. Life is full of surprises and challenges on every corner so grab hold and run with it. My cats amuse me with their aloofness and antics. My partner a landscape architect inspires me and our love of the outdoors and gardens and he is a wonderful painter teaching me. Reading is a huge part of our life books stacked on bedside table or on the sofa on a cold winters day. Bliss!
